Testudinella mucronata Gosse, 1886
Testudinella mucronata, swimming specimen, dorsoventral view. (1)

Testudinella mucronata, swimming specimen, dorsoventral view. Focus plane on the anterior projection of the dorsal lorica (arrowhead), which separates this species from other species of this genus like Testudinella patina or Testudinella elliptica. (1)

Testudinella mucronata, with retracted corona, dorsoventral view. Specimen is somewhat inclined to the plane of the coverslide, so that the dorsal lorica is in focus at the anterior (right) side, whereas the ventral foot opening and the foot (attached to the coverslide) is in focus on the left side.
